Halloween Costume Ideas For Your Baby

There are thousands of adorable costumes available for your baby to wear this Halloween. Below are some of the cutest ideas to date. Whether you choose to purchase or make your own costume this year, I hope these give you some ideas in deciding what your little bundle of joy will wear this Halloween.

Peas in a Pod

Have your baby be one of the peas in a peapod. This costume is all green material in the shape of a peapod and has a couple stuffed peas in it. Baby’s head sticks out the top as one of the “peas.”

Other Food Ideas

In addition to being a pea your baby could be an apple, banana, strawberry, pepper or any other fruit or veggie.

Baby bugs or butterfly

With some bright colored fabric you can easily dress baby as a lady bug, caterpillar, snail, bee or butterfly. The baby is the body of the bug or butterfly and will have wings attached to them for the flying ones.

Flowers

Many flowers make great costumes. Some that come to mind are daisies and sunflowers with the baby’s head being the center of the flower. The rest of baby can be dressed in green for the stem.

Baby Animals

Got milk? Baby could be a cow or calf. Other great animal choices are bears, dogs, elephants, mice, monkeys, rabbits, and tigers.

Just Like Mom or Dad

If mom or dad works as a police officer, fire fighter, military personnel, doctor, nurse or other profession where a uniform is required baby can wear a smaller version of it.

Fairytale or Storybook

Fairy and angel costumes work well for girls and can be purchase or made very simply. Other options would be a character from any children’s fairytale or other book.

Characters

Costumes based on classic Disney and other movies and children’s television shows are always popular. For ideas look at DVD covers or books around the house, and see what character fits your baby’s personality.

Humor

Think outside the box. You could dress up baby as a car air freshener, whoopee cushion, or even Elvis!
