Baby Shower Punch

Punch is a very common staple at baby showers. You can serve regular red or orange punch is a fancy punch bowl on ice or you can try one of these fabulous punch recipes that all the guests will love. Blue punch is a great choice, especially if you know the new arrival is to be a boy. You will need to mix a 2-liter bottle of Sprite with a 64 ounce bottle of white cranberry juice. Add in a package of unsweetened blue Kool-Aid mix. Add eight big scoops of ice cream and one cup sugar. Make sure to mix the ingredients well. As the ice cream melts into the other ingredients, color will turn a nice baby blue. If you let the punch sit for a while, the white froth from the ice cream will appear to be clouds sitting on the sky.

Let’s not forget the pretty in pink punch in the event we know the baby will be a girl. Mix a large container of vanilla ice cream with a 2-liter of strawberry soda and a large package of frozen crushed strawberries. For best results, allow the ice cream to soften and the strawberries to thaw at room temperature before mixing them together.

Citrus punch is a favorite for baby showers. For this punch, combine a 46 ounce can of pineapple juice with a ½ quart of orange juice. Add 4 ounces each of lemon juice and lime juice. You will also add a quart each of ginger ale and club soda as well as a full cup of sugar. Once you have mixed the punch thoroughly, add slices of lemon and orange for color and appeal.

Green party punch is very simple to make, yet it has a very unique and pleasing taste. Simply mix a 2-liter of ginger ale with one gallon of lime sherbet ice cream. Pineapple punch is tasty and easy to make as well. Mix a large can of pineapple juice with an equal amount of drinking water. Add one cup of sugar and a touch of almond extract. Freeze this mixture until it is slushy, and then transfer it to a punch bowl. Add a 2-liter of ginger ale to the slush mix. This punch will stay cold for the entire party without being watered down by ice.

There are many great varieties of punch one can make for a baby shower. They are simple to make and inexpensive. They can also add to the beauty of the baby shower experience. If you are expecting a large crowd for a baby shower, consider making two different types of punch. If the sex of the baby is unknown make one pink and one blue. The possibilities are endless, so have fun with it.
