10 Signs You May Be Pregnant

The signs of pregnancy can be confusing as some of them are similar to symptoms of getting your period or symptoms that may mimic minor illnesses. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to take a home pregnancy test or have your blood taken at the doctor’s office. Here is a list of symptoms that may mean you are pregnant.

  1. A missed menstrual cycle - This is usually the tell tale sign of pregnancy but missing a period could be caused by stress, sickness or other factors.

  2. Nausea - There is so many reasons why someone can be nauseous. It may or may not be pregnancy related.

  3. Frequent urination - This happens in the beginning and end of a pregnancy. However, frequent urination can be caused from drinking too many fluids or from a urinary tract infection.

  4. Dizziness - This has always been my first sign of pregnancy even before I took a home pregnancy test. But, dizziness can be caused by vertigo, ear infections, or plenty of other illnesses.

  5. Faintness - Again, this is something many women experience before their pregnancy is confirmed. But it could also be caused by other factors.

  6. Sore or tender breasts - Breast tenderness is a sign most women recognize early in their pregnancy. Some women do not get this symptom at all.

  7. Darkening of the areola - This is caused by the change in hormones in your body.

  8. Fatigue - For many women tiredness and fatigue are early indicators of pregnancy.

  9. Headaches - Many newly pregnant women experience headaches in the first trimester.

  10. Food cravings - This doesn’t hit every woman right away while others notice cravings right away.
